Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy

Thank you for dropping by!

Having experienced the benefits of therapy to overcome my own personal challenges through my life, I decided that I wanted to help others.

I wanted to share some of the approaches that have helped me to evolve in different ways, such as meditation , family & relationship counselling, dream analysis and sand play and positive psychology.

I am passionate about helping people develop and I found that I was most fulfilled when I had the opportunity to do this in both my teaching and my leadership careers. I decided to take this a step further and become a psychotherapist so that I could do more of this meaningful work.

I offer a safe and confidential space where things can be talked about freely without judgement.

My counselling approach is insightful, caring and free of judgement to help you develop a greater capacity for self-awareness, integrity and resilience as well as develop skills to overcome personal and relationship difficulties.

I approach each person as an individual and tailor my counselling approach to suit individual needs.

I combine skills from different therapy approaches including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Positive Psychology
  • Solution Based Therapy

I am a qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist trained in a variety of therapy approaches to suit individual client needs.

I am an experienced Career Counsellor & Coach and can assist with career and business goals.

As co-founder of a successful business I helped to grow a business from 5 staff to a team of 60.

I have experience counselling people from all ages on a range of issues including work with Wise Employment, Newtown Neighbourhood Centre and Raise Foundation.

I can assist with relationship problems, family issues, anxiety, stress, self esteem issues, career coaching & life transitions.

What is the difference between Counselling, Coaching & Psychotherapy?

Individual Counselling is about working with general feelings of well-being, communication problems, motivation, anxiety and stress.

Psychotherapy is generally longer term work to explore the influences that have shaped our reactions and ways of dealing with life and relationships.

Couple Work helps you to work through the challenges and patterns in your relationships.

Coaching can help you build confidence, overcome blocks to success and achieve goals in your career, business or other areas. Coaching tends to be more solution focussed and uses positive psychology approaches.
